San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Lewisville, Texas-based Adeptus Health have announced plans to partner in a joint effort to meet the growing demand for access to quality medical care in Arizona.
The Dignity Health-Adeptus Health joint venture will begin with the construction of 39,000-square foot Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital, which is slated to open early next year in Laveen, Ariz. The hospital will have inpatient rooms, two operating rooms, an emergency department, and a radiology suite. Once completed, the hospital will become the Dignity Health's fourth hospital in Arizona.
Adeptus Health is no stranger to emergency medical care, as it owns and operates Lewisville, Texas-based First Choice Emergency Room, one of the leading networks of independent freestanding emergency departments.
"The combination of Dignity Health's well-established quality of care and Adeptus Health's unique delivery model will be an excellent addition to the communities we serve," said Linda Hunt, president and CEO of Dignity Health's Arizona service area.
