Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has entered into a definitive agreement to sell 72-bed Bartow (Fla.) Regional Medical Center and its related outpatient services to Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System.
The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close by the end of 2015.
Bartow Regional is the second Florida hospital CHS has sold in recent months. In September, CHS signed a definitive agreement to sell 88-bed Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, Fla., to Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services.
