1. Tenet, Baptist Health create joint venture to operate Alabama network: 4 things to know
Birmingham, Ala.-based Baptist Health System and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare formed a joint venture to own and operate a network of healthcare facilities serving Birmingham and central Alabama.
2. Baptist Health South Florida, Bethesda Health solidify merger plans
Coral Gables-based Baptist Health South Florida and Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Bethesda Health signed an agreement to merge.
3. Prime completes takeover of NJ health system
Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services completed its acquisition of Denville, N.J.-based Saint Claire's Health System, which was previously a member of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives.
4. Grady Memorial sets up bidding war with Prime Healthcare for Georgia hospital
Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta made a surprise bid to acquire financially troubled Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga.
5. Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems adds 9th hospital to its network
An affiliation between Brewer-based Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems and 64-bed Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth received all necessary regulatory approvals.
6. Crittenton Hospital Medical Center officially joins Ascension Michigan
St. Louis-based Ascension expanded its footprint as Crittenton Hospital Medical Center, a 290-bed facility in Rochester, Mich., is now part of Ascension Michigan.
7. West Jefferson Medical Center becomes part of LCMC Health: 5 things to know
West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La., officially joined New Orleans-based LCMC Health.
8. Meadville Medical acquires Titusville Area Hospital: 6 things to know
Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital officially became part of Meadville (Pa.) Medical Center.
