1. Centura Health expands footprint in Kansas
Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health took over operations of 26-bed Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kan.
2. Skagit Regional Health gets green light to operate Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics
Mt. Vernon, Wash.-based Skagit Regional Health was given the go-ahead to lease and operate Arlington, Wash.-based Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics, which includes a 48-bed hospital as well as five clinics and a free-standing surgery center.
3. Prime Healthcare completes purchase of hospitals in 4 states: 5 things to know
Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services completed the acquisition of four acute care hospitals, growing its network to 42 hospitals in 14 states.
4. Larkin Community Hospital expands reach with $40M acquisition
Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Fla., acquired 247-bed Palm Springs General Hospital in Hialeah, Fla., for $40 million.
5. LifePoint expands footprint into SC: 6 things to know
Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health completed its acquisition of Providence Hospitals, a two-hospital system in Columbia, S.C.
6. Commonwealth Health Corp. to take over management of Clinton County Hospital
Bowling Green, Ky.-based Commonwealth Health assumed management of Clinton County Hospital in Albany, Ky.
7. Prime Healthcare's purchase of bankrupt NJ hospital gets go-ahead
The New Jersey State Health Planning Board recommended Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services be allowed to purchase bankrupt Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, N.J.
8. Pearland Medical Center inks affiliation deal with The Woman's Hospital of Texas
Pearland (Texas) Medical Center and Missouri City-based The Woman's Hospital of Texas are forming an affiliation that will launch Feb. 18.
