1. CHS sells 10 medical office buildings for $163M
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems completed the sale and leaseback of 10 medical office buildings for $163 million to Irvine, Calif.-based real estate investment trust HCP.
2. Hallmark Health System to join Wellforce Jan. 1
The board of Hallmark Health System in Medford, Mass., unanimously voted to join Burlington, Mass.-based Wellforce as the system's third member, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
3. Massena Memorial Hospital slims possible affiliates to 2
Massena (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital narrowed its affiliate search from five to two hospitals.
3. Walgreens, Rite Aid ink $950M deal to sell 865 stores
Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens Boots Alliance and Camp Hill, Pa.-based Rite Aid entered into an agreement to sell 865 Rite Aid stores to Memphis, Tenn.-based Fred's in an all-cash $950 million transaction.
4. Advocate Health Care forms two partnerships with Surgical Care Affiliates
Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates formed two partnerships with surgical centers jointly owned by Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care and community physicians.
5. Harrison Community Hospital in talks to acquire Wheeling Hospital
Cadiz, Ohio-based Harrison Community Hospital is negotiating a potential acquisition agreement with Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital.
6. Opelousas General Health System partners with outpatient facility operator for cancer treatment
Opelousas (La.) General Health System is partnering with outpatient cancer care center operator e+CancerCare in Nashville, Tenn.
7. Premier Health to affiliate with Wayne HealthCare
Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health and Greenville, Ohio-based Wayne HealthCare plan to affiliate.
