1. CHRISTUS Health expands further into North Texas
Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health finalized a joint venture agreement with Hopkins County Hospital District, a one-hospital system in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
2. UPMC's takeover of WCA Hospital moves forward
The Public Health and Health Planning Council within New York's Department of Health approved a plan to merge 317-bed WCA Hospital in Jamestown, N.Y., into Pittsburgh-based UPMC.
3. Prospect Medical Holdings to pay $300M for Crozer-Keystone
Prospect Medical Holdings, a for-profit hospital operator based in Los Angeles, will pay $300 million to acquire Springfield, Pa.-based Crozer-Keystone Health System.
4. Cuba Memorial Hospital affiliates with Kaleida Health
Cuba (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital and Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health entered into an affiliation agreement.
5. Oaklawn Hospital, Borgess Health partner to create new organization
Marshall, Mich.-based Oaklawn Hospital and Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Borgess Health Alliance created a new organization called THINK Health.
6. Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire to become Dartmouth-Hitchcock affiliate
The Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire approved an affiliation agreement with Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
