1. BJC acquires Missouri hospital from Capella
BJC HealthCare, a nonprofit system based in St. Louis, finalized an agreement to purchase Farmington, Mo.-based Mineral Area Regional Medical Center from Capella Healthcare, based in Franklin, Tenn.
2. Scripps, Pioneers Memorial Hospital in affiliation negotiations
The board of directors of Brawley, Calif.-based Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District voted to pursue an affiliation arrangement with San Diego-based Scripps Health.
3. Trinity Health expands network in New York
Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health and St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y., entered into a definitive agreement for St. Joseph's to join Trinity's network.
4. Nueterra to acquire Benefit Management
Leawood, Kan.-based healthcare company Nueterra is acquiring Benefit Management, a third-party health benefits administrator based in Great Bend, Kan.
5. Lafayette General Health partners with Ochsner Health System
Lafayette (La.) General Health and New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System formed a strategic partnership focused on increasing access to care, improving quality and reducing healthcare costs.
