7. CHS signs definitive agreement to divest NJ hospital
Subsidiaries of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems executed a definitive agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of Salem, N.J.-based The Memorial Hospital of Salem County, along with its related outpatient services, to Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Foundation.
8. Tenet, WellStar reach agreement for sale of Tenet's Georgia hospitals
Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System entered a definitive agreement in which WellStar will acquire Tenet's five hospitals in the Atlanta area.
9. Johnson Memorial Medical Center sale gets state approval: 7 things to know
The previously announced sale of financially struggling Stafford Springs, Conn.-based Johnson Memorial Medical Center is moving forward, as state regulators have approved plans for Hartford, Conn.-based Saint Francis Care to acquire JMMC.
10. Scripps Health launches HealthExpress retail clinic with Irvine Company
San Diego-based Scripps Health and Irvine Company opened Scripps HealthExpress, a new retail health clinic designed to offer convenient health and wellness services at an Irvine Company office complex in University City in San Diego.
