1. Coffeyville Regional to pursue affiliation with Mercy Hospital Independence
The board of directors of Coffeyville (Kan.) Regional Medical Center voted to sign a letter of intent to affiliate with Mercy Hospital Independence (Kan.).
2. Daughters of Charity gets $250M capital injection from private equity firm
Los Altos, Calif.-based Daughters of Charity Health System selected BlueMountain Capital Management, a private investment firm, to manage and operate the system's six hospitals and medical foundation.
3. Yale New Haven Health System to absorb 2 hospitals
Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System entered into a definitive agreement to affiliate with L+M Healthcare, the parent organization of Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., and Westerly (R.I.) Hospital.
4. Tenet, Dignity Health and Ascension ink definitive agreement for JV: 6 things to know
Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, San Francisco-based Dignity Health and St. Louis-based Ascension signed a definitive agreement to create a partnership to own and operate Tucson, Ariz.-based Carondelet Health Network.
5. Barnabas Health, Robert Wood Johnson to merge: 5 things to know
Robert Wood Johnson Health System, which has flagship hospital campuses in New Brunswick, N.J., and Somerset, N.J., and Barnabas Health, based in Orange, N.J., signed a definitive agreement to merge, creating the largest health system in the state.
6. Eastern Long Island Hospital to join forces with Stony Brook University Hospital
The board of trustees of Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, N.Y., voted to affiliate with Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital.
7. Equity Group Investments to take majority ownership in Ardent's hospital operations
Ventas — a real estate investment trust — reached a deal with Equity Group Investments, giving EQI a majority ownership of the hospital operations of Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services, which Ventas agreed to buy earlier this year.
8. Mount St. Mary's, Catholic Health complete merger: 5 things to know
Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center in Lewiston, N.Y., became a full member of Catholic Health, which is a joint venture between Ascension, based in St. Louis, Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health and the Diocese of Buffalo.
9. Yale-New Haven Hospital announces partnership with Milford Hospital
Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital partnered with Milford (Conn.) Hospital to open the Yale-New Haven Hospital Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Milford Hospital.
10. Day Kimball, Hartford HealthCare consider affiliation: 6 things to know
Putnam, Conn.-based Day Kimball Healthcare and Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare are exploring a strategic partnership that could lead to a formal affiliation.
