The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust's Rural Healthcare Program has awarded $9 million in grants to fund mobile training and simulation centers and a rural residency program, according to the Great Falls Tribune.
About $5 million will be devoted to the mobile simulation centers, which will help train rural healthcare professionals. The remaining $4 million will be dedicated to Billings (Mont.) The program is expanding to train 25 physicians this summer, according to the report.
Additionally, the gifts will fund rotations at Sheridan (Wyo.) Memorial and Livingston (Mont.) HealthCare, according to the report.
