The largest independent, multispecialty physician group in the Chicago area just got a little bit bigger.
Downers Grove, Ill.-based DuPage Medical Group acquired the six-physician La Grange (Ill.) Women's Clinic, the group announced Thursday. Under the agreement, the six La Grange Women's Clinic physicians will maintain their affiliations with AMITA Health Adventist Medical Centers in La Grange and Hinsdale, Ill., and will continue to see patients at their La Grange and Bolingbrook, Ill., locations.
"We are very excited to have joined this forward thinking company," Cathy Halperin, MD, of La Grange Women’s Clinic, said in the announcement. "Being part of DMG will allow us to continue to provide quality care to our patients and enable us to deliver it in the most efficient way."
DMG numbers more than 560 physicians across 70 locations. The La Grange Women's Clinic acquisition expands the group's footprint east.
