HealthEast Care System, based in St. Paul, Minn., has named Kathryn Correia as the new president and CEO, according to a news release.
Ms. Correia will succeed Tim Hanson, who will retire in Jan. 2012 after 39 years of service at HealthEast. Ms. Correia has more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience and comes from Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare, where she has served as a senior vice president of the health system and president of Appleton (Wis.) Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, Wis.
