7 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

 

  1. David Koontz, CEO of Columbus, Ga.-based St. Francis Hospital, will resign effective next month.
  1. Bradenton, Fla.-based Blake Medical Center CEO Dan Friedrich is retiring after 15 years in the position.
  1. Lesley Ogden, MD, CEO of Lincoln City, Ore.-based Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital, has been named full-time CEO of Newport, Ore.-based Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital after serving as interim CEO since November.
  1. Hiawatha (Kan.) Community Hospital has selected Jeffrey Shelton to serve as its CEO, effective July 31.
  1. Eskenazi Health, based in Indianapolis, appointed Curtis Wright, MD, president and CEO of Eskenazi Medical Group.
  1. Broken Bow, Neb.-based Melham Memorial Medical Center President and CEO Michael J. Steckler is retiring from the position he has held since 1985.
  1. Pasadena, Calif.-based Huntington Hospital appointed Lori Morgan, MD, president and CEO, effective in September.
