Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Metairie, La.-based East Jefferson General Hospital tapped Gerald Parton to lead as its permanent president and CEO.

2. Burlington-based The University of Vermont Health Network selected Jerald Novak as its chief people officer.

3. Newton (Kan.) Medical Center tapped Heather Porter, BSN, ACM-RN, to serve as chief clinical officer, effective July 1.

4. Medical City McKinney (Texas), a 260-bed hospital, appointed Brad Stein CFO.

5. Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Medical Partners named Stacey D. Woodruff CFO.

6. Pikeville (Ky.) Medical Center appointed Donovan Blackburn assistant CEO.

7. Richmond-based Hospital Corporation of America Virginia selected Joe Mazzo, RN, to serve as CEO of John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell, Va.

8. New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian named Peter M. Fleischut, MD, senior vice president and chief transformation officer.

9. Honolulu, Hawaii-based The Queen's Health Systems appointed Michel Riccioni CFO.

10. La Porte (Ind.) Hospital and Starke Hospital in Knox, Ind., named Drew Keesbury CFO.

11. Indianapolis-based IU Health appointed Jeff Bird, MD, president of its East Central Region, effective May 28.

12. Joe Mitchell, RN, president of Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison, Ohio, is resigning, effective June 16.

13. Waukegan, Ill.-based Vista Health System CEO Barbara Martin abruptly stepped down from her role.

14. Columbus-based Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center CEO Sheldon Retchin, MD, resigned, following complaints about his leadership from the faculty.

15. Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System hired David O'Brien, MD, as its new senior vice president and chief executive of the East Region, effective June 19.

16. Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Chester, Pa., tapped Michael Curran to serve as president.

17. St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas, named Esther Chung COO.

18. San Francisco-based Dignity Health appointed Douglas Watson CFO of its Arizona service area, which includes five acute care hospitals and a number of specialty care centers.

19. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health's board quickly tapped Beverly Capasso, RN, to replace outgoing Interim CEO Kevin Fusco.

20. Chicago-based Presence Health selected James L. Robinson III, PsyD, to lead as president of Presence Saint Joseph Hospital-Chicago, effective June 12.
