6. Fergus Fall, Minn.-based Lake Region Healthcare CEO Larry Schulz plans to retire in May 2017, ending a 40-year administrative career in healthcare.

8. Springfield, Ohio-based Community Mercy Health Partners selected Matthew Caldwell to serve as president and CEO.
