The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.
1. Memorial Community Hospital & Health System in Blair, Neb., named Tim Plante, MSN, BSN, RN, president and CEO.
2. Conrad W. Schintz, a longtime executive at Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System, plans to retire June 30.
3. Paula Delahanty,BSN, RN, was named regional chief nursing officer of Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine, and Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, Maine.
4. The Veterans Affairs Department terminated three senior leaders of the Phoenix VA Health Care System, the hospital where the VA wait time scandal first surfaced. The VA officially dismissed Lance Robinson, the medical center's associate director, Brad Curry, chief of health administration service, and Darren Deering, DO, chief of staff.
5. Memorial Hospital of Martinsville (Va.) and Henry County, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, named Tooba A. Kazmi, MD, CMO.
6. William P. Thompson, president and CEO of St. Louis-based SSM Health, intends to retire next year.
7. Pamela Hess was named CFO of Jacksonville, Fla.-based St. Vincent's HealthCare, effective July 18.
8. Seattle-based Virginia Mason Health System made various leadership changes. Suzanne Anderson was promoted to president of Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and named executive vice president of Virginia Mason Health System. Katerie Chapman, senior vice president and hospital administrator at Virginia Mason Medical Center, will take over responsibility for outpatient services in addition to her leadership of the hospital.
9. Tom Sadvary, CEO of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based HonorHealth, will retire April 3, 2017.
10. Snoqualmie (Wash.) Valley Hospital appointed its COO, Tom Parker, as CEO.
11. University Medical Center New Orleans named Bill Masterton president and CEO.
12. Ken Marshall, president of University of Louisville (Ky.) Hospital and James Graham Brown Cancer Center, will vacate his position at the end of June.
13. Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital appointed Susan Okuno-Jones, DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, vice president of patient care services and chief nurse executive, effective June 27.
14. Chicago-based Presence Health designated Will Snyder as the system vice president of external affairs.
15. Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center named Thomas Tracy Jr., MD, CMO, effective Aug. 15.
16. Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital promoted Brenda Burnett, RN, from director of nursing to vice president of patient care services and CNO, effective July 1.
17. St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, appointed Dale Gisi president.
18. Jeff Mason was named CEO of The Miami Medical Center, a physician-owned joint venture between Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami and Leawood, Kan.-based Nueterra.
