1. Odette Bolano, BSN, was named president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.
2. South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., named Adhi Sharma, MD, senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO.
3. Randy Moresi, CEO of North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas, intends to retire.
4. Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial HealthCare named Julie Creamer, MS, BSN, president of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Howard Chrisman, MD, president of Northwestern Medical Group, effective Oct. 12.
5. CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, N.M., named Patrick Carrier president and CEO, effective Nov. 2.
6. Orange Park (Fla.) Medical Center, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, added several new executives to its leadership team. Daphne David was named COO. Joseph Parra, MD, was named CMO.
7. Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, Texas, named Mike Olson CEO.
8. The four-hospital University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington appointed Adam Buckley, MD, CIO.
9. Indianapolis-based Indiana Blood Center, a part of Versiti, named Charles C. Miraglia, MD, president and CEO.
10. Layfayette (La.) General Health named Ziad Ashkar, MD, CMO.
11. The Children's Hospital of Michigan, part of Detroit Medical Center, appointed Eric Hess COO.
12. El Segundo, Calif.-based Avanti Hospitals appointed Steven Blake CFO. Avanti Hospitals owns and operates Memorial Hospital of Gardena (Calif.), Community Hospital of Huntington Park (Calif.), Coast Plaza Hospital in Norwalk, Calif., and East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital.
13. Jameson "Jamie" Smith was named president of Denver-based Saint Joseph Hospital, effective Nov. 16.
14. Jim Krauss, corporate vice president of Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare and president of Harrisonburg, Va.-based Sentara RMH Medical Center, is retiring.
15. Atlanta-based Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital named Heather Dexter CEO.
