The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.
1. Rome (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital named David W. Lundquist as its next president and CEO, effective March 1.
2. Gary Shorb, CEO of Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, will retire at the end of 2016.
3. Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health named Mary Boosalis president and CEO.
4. Trevor Wright was named COO of Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center.
5. Troy, Mich.-based Beaumont Health named Constance O'Malley, RN, president of Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills (Mich.), formerly Botsford Hospital, effective March 7.
6. Pamela Reed, MSN, RN, was promoted to CEO of Kindred Hospital Melbourne (Fla.).
7. Francis D. Ferdinand, MD, was named chief of the division of cardiothoracic surgery at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, and will serve as director of the hospital's cardiothoracic surgery program.
8. Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute named Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, CEO, effective January 2017.
9. Seattle-based University of Washington Medicine named a new CMO and associate CMO. Carlos Pellegrini, MD, was named CMO of UW Medicine and vice president for medical affairs for the University of Washington in Seattle. David Flum, MD, was named associate CMO of UW Medicine.
10. Peter Chalke, CEO of Lewiston-based Central Maine Healthcare, will retire from his post later this year.
11. Heidi Warpinski will lead St. Vincent Children's Hospital, located inside HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., and Prevea Pediatrics. She was appointed executive director after serving more than 20 years with HSHS St. Vincent Hospital.
12. Jeff English, interim president of Lavonia, Ga.-based St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, was named to the position permanently.
13. Elizabethtown (N.Y.) Community Hospital, part of Burlington-based University of Vermont Health Network, named John Remillard interim administrator and CEO, effective Feb. 8.
14. Joseph Woodin, administrator of Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, Vt., will leave the organization in May to become president and CEO of Oak Bluffs, Mass.-based Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
15. Nancy Barone, EdD, MSN, vice president and COO of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, will resign Feb. 29.
16. Gwinnett Medical Group, an affiliate of Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga., appointed Bedri Yusuf, MD, vice president and chief physician executive.
