16 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, Calif., named Steven Barron interim CEO.

2. Waycross, Ga.-based Memorial Satilla Health selected Bobby McCullough to serve as CEO.

3. South Bend, Ind.-based Beacon Health System CEO Phil Newbold is stepping down, effective Nov. 1.

4. Edward Dzielak, DO, retired as CEO of Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, Pa., after serving the organization for 38 years.

5. Robert Honeycutt will serve as CEO of Ennis (Texas) Regional Medical Center and Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas, both part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health.

6. Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System named Dane W. Henry CEO.

7. Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Joseph D. McDonald announced his plans to retire in early 2018.

8. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services named Lori Shibinette CEO of Concord-based New Hampshire Hospital, effective Oct. 20.

9. El Segundo, Calif.-based Avanti Hospitals tapped Gerald Clute as CEO of East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital.

10. Edward Herrman, BSN, will assume the president and CEO roles at Hays (Kan.) Medical Center.

11. NYC Health + Hospitals appointed William A. Brown CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

12. Montrose (Colo.) Memorial Hospital appointed Cindy Bradley interim CEO, effective Sept. 19.

13. Falls Church, Va.-based Inova CEO J. Knox Singleton, 69, revealed plans to retire, effective July 1, 2018.

14. Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University Health System has announced longtime president and CEO Mark Neaman will transition from his current role to become executive chairman of the board of directors.

15. Michael Henze, CEO of Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System, will retire after holding the position for 27 years.

16. Steve Hannah is no longer CEO of Montrose (Colo.) Memorial Hospital, though details of his departure have not been released.
