14 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review since Nov. 20. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Steven Altschuler, MD, was named senior vice president of health affairs at the University of Miami and CEO of UHealth-University of Miami Health System.

2. Aspirus Riverview Hospital and Clinics in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., appointed Todd Burch CEO.

3. Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., named LaRay Brown president and CEO.

4. Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Healthcare System named Ken Johnson president and CEO.

5. Patricia Liebman, RN, COO of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network, will retire at the end of the year.

6. Stan Morton, president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton (Texas), resigned from his post, effective Dec. 31.

7. Anthony Nasralla, president and CEO of Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital, will retire from his post in July 2016.

8. Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, a 58-bed specialty hospital in Folsom, Calif., named Kimberly Horton, RN, NP, MSN, DHA, CEO.

9. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems revealed additional future executives for its planned spin-off company, Quorum Health Corp. Shaheed Koury, MD, was named senior executive of quality and medical staff relations. James Hayes was named a senior executive of operations. R. Harold McCard Jr. was named general counsel.

10. Dana Weston was named CEO of Eden, N.C.-based Morehead Memorial Hospital.

11. Boston-based Steward Health Care System named Beth Hughes president of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, its flagship hospital in Brighton, Mass.

12. Anthony "Tony" Spezia, president and CEO of Knoxville, Tenn.-based Covenant Health, will step out of his role March 31 to take on a new role as CEO emeritus.

13. Kendall Sawa, RN, CEO of Ilwaco, Wash.-based Ocean Beach Hospital, is leaving his post to take a new job as CEO of Providence Seaside (Ore.) Hospital.

14. St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., named Gabrielle Finley-Hazle CEO.
