13 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Manchester, Iowa-based Regional Medical Center CEO Lon Butikofer resigned after the board of trustees discovered that Mr. Butikofer had submitted "improper travel expense reimbursement."

2. East Houston Regional Medical Center, a Houston-based Hospital Corporation of America Gulf Coast Division facility, appointed Eric Evans CEO.

3. Baptist Medical Center Attala in Kosciusko, Miss., named Sean Johnson interim CEO.

4. Terre Haute (Ind.) Regional Hospital tapped Nathan Vooys to serve as CEO.

5. Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits, Calif., appointed Jason Wells president and CEO, effective March 28, 2017.

6. Karen Fordham, president and CEO of Detroit Medical Center's Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce, Mich., resigned.

7. Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health tapped Cliff Deveny, MD, to serve as interim president and CEO, following the resignation of Thomas Malone, MD, at the end of January 2017.

8. Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn., named Lisa Casteel CEO, effective Nov. 28, 2017.

9. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare appointed Warren Kirk CEO of its Central Valley market, a three-hospital network.

10. Palm Springs, Calif.-based Desert Regional Medical Center CEO Carolyn Caldwell is leaving her post, effective Feb. 24, 2017.

11. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare tapped Frank Molinaro to serve as market CEO for its Abrazo Community Health Network, which encompasses six acute care hospitals.

12. San Antonio-based Christus Santa Rosa Health System named Dean Alexander president and CEO, effective April 3, 2017.

13. Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services named Dale Maxwell president and CEO.
