12 latest hospital, health system executive resignations

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following latest hospital and health system executive resignations. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. A little over a year into his tenure, Rock Hill, S.C.-based Piedmont Medical Center CEO Brad Talbert is leaving for a new job at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

2. The Rocky Mount, N.C.-based Nash UNC Health Care board of commissioners asked Larry Chewning to step down from his position as president and CEO.

3. Grand Coulee, Wash.-based Coulee Medical Center CEO Jonathan Owens resigned.

4. Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, Kan., announced the resignation of CEO Jim Reagan, effective Aug. 31.

5. Steven Orlow, MD, chief medical information officer for Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network, resigned.

6. Geneseo, Ill.-based Hammond-Henry Hospital CEO Jeff Lingerfelt announced his resignation, effective July 28.

7. Jenny Barnett-Sarpalius, senior vice president and CFO of the CHI Texas Division at Houston-based CHI St. Luke's Health, left her position.

8. Clayton, Ga.-based Mountain Lakes Medical Center CEO Joe Forese, MD, is resigning, effective Aug. 1.

9. Bowman, N.D.-based Southwest Healthcare Services CEO Becky Hansen resigned.

10. Houston-based CHI St. Luke's Health CEO Michael Covert submitted his resignation, effective Aug. 31.

11. Gadsden, Ala.-based Riverview Regional Medical Center CEO David Fuller stepped down.

12. Fort Wayne-based Lutheran Hospital CMO Matthew Sutter, MD, tendered his resignation after parent Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems fired Fort Wayne-based Lutheran Health Network CMO Geoff Randolph, MD, and CEO Brian Bauer.
