12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health named Kerry Watson interim CEO, effective April 2017.

2. Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health CEO Steve Hanson is leaving his post, effective immediately.

3. Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, Calif., dropped the 'interim' from Chief Executive Larry Coomes' title.

4. Ontario, Canada-based Prime Healthcare selected Randall Nyp to serve as CEO of its Kansas City market.

5. Weiss Memorial Hospital, based in Chicago, tapped Karima Bentounsi to serve as its permanent CEO.

6. Blackfoot, Idaho-based Bingham Memorial Hospital Interim CEO Jeff Daniels plans to retire, effective Nov. 17, 2017.

7. Regina Cunningham, PhD, RN, currently chief nursing executive for Penn Medicine, will serve as Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's CEO.

8. St. Augustine, Fla.-based Flagler Hospital President and CEO Joe Gordy is departing, ending a 14-year tenure at the helm of the hospital.

9. Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health President and CEO Michael A. Slubowski is leaving for a leadership role at Trinity Health in Novi, Mich.

10. Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colo., tapped Will McConnell, PhD, to serve as president and CEO.

11. Duluth, Minn.-based Benedictine Health System President and CEO Rocklon B. Chapin is retiring.

12. Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo, Calif., appointed Abhishek Dosi CEO, effective April 3, 2017.
