Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., has maintained consistent financial performance and experienced improvement in its balance sheet metrics with CFO, COO and Senior Vice President Stephen C. McDonnell overseeing day-to-day operations.
In August 2013, Fitch Ratings assigned an "AA-" rating to Sibley's series 2009 bonds, in response to the hospital becoming part of the Baltimore, Md.-based Johns Hopkins Health System obligated group. Fitch also affirmed a stable outlook for the hospital.
Since obtaining his current position with Sibley in September 2010, Mr. McDonnell has spearheaded the development and implementation of new program strategies, in addition to being responsible for the overall financial management of the hospital. He also works to ensure Sibley achieves various regulatory, quality and safety objectives.
