Start-up companies are plenty in this digital-age. However, few of these companies are granted 'access' to the greatest start-up club: The Unicorn Club.
According to techcrunch.com, the "Unicorn Club" is defined as a U.S.-based software company that started in 2003 or later and is valued at over $1 billion by public or private market investors.
In a recent article, ZocDoc was revealed to be valued at $1.8 billion, thus gaining its horn in the tech start-up world.
The New York-based online physician scheduling service company is now among around 130 other privately held companies that call themselves unicorns, according to the article.
Currently, ZocDoc has 600 employees and services covering 60 percent of the U.S. population.
