The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information & Technology has launched a website to raise awareness about the VA's new digital health platform.
At present, veterans' health information is often housed in separate systems, such as military, commercial and VA data stores. This new digital health platform will integrate health data from these sources using a network of Application Programming Interfaces, allowing clinicians and veterans access to a comprehensive dashboard spanning the veteran's entire health record.
The cloud-based platform will also integrate data from EHRs, wearables and other devices to send to update the veteran's healthcare team in real time.
