Ohio-based University of Dayton is set to establish a Center for Cybersecurity & Data Intelligence, thanks to a lead gift from Premier Health.
The center — which is meant to "enhance the cyberhealth of the Dayton community," according to University of Dayton — will work to increase the university's readiness and responsiveness to cyber risks. In particular, university departments and Premier Health will collaborate on free public resources to protect sensitive data, such as health information. Premier Health will also help the university test cybersecurity practices.
The Center for Cybersecurity & Data Intelligence's initial focus is the healthcare sector; however, moving forward, the University of Dayton is seeking lead partners in other industries to expand the center's work.
