An updated version of Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare's Health4Me app offers a variety of new features, including sending personalized care updates to patients.
The app alerts UnitedHealthcare plan participants if they have missed a recommended medical service, such as an immunization or blood sugar test. Additional new Health4Me features include fingerprint-enabled sign-in, the ability to check pharmaceutical drug prices, the ability to refill prescriptions and a button to contact a UnitedHealth service representative directly.
The updates build on the app's original features, which include allowing users to search for healthcare providers, schedule appointments and pay medical bills.
Health4Me is available to UnitedHealthcare plan participants across the country, including Medicaid beneficiaries in 17 states. Since its launch in 2012, the app has been downloaded more than 2 million times.
