Tampa, Fla.-based Academic Alliance in Dermatology is now offering patients online dermatology visits through a partnership with Iagnosis, the nation's largest teledermatology-focused platform provider.
The telemedicine service will allow physicians to digitally diagnose thousands of medical conditions affecting the skin, hair, or nails and develop tailored treatment plans for patients. The practice will also use the technology to conduct certain post-procedural follow-up visits to assess wound healing and save patients an unnecessary trip to the dermatology office.
"We are very excited to add another avenue for patients to get the dermatologic care they need, when they need it, while ensuring high quality standards," said Panos Vasiloudes, MD, owner of Academic Alliance in Dermatology. "Telehealth is rising in popularity, and we are confident that the technology approach we have chosen will ensure a strong provider-patient relationship while satisfying the need for convenient access to care."
