Birmingham, Ala.-based SourceMed — a healthcare IT company focused in the outpatient space — has partnered with Boulder, Colo.-based Command Health to create a solution for surgeons and ASCs alike.
Here are four things to know about the partnership.
1. Together, SourceMed and Command Health's unique offerings provide a full reimbursement solution. While SourceMed works in the outpatient space as a provider of technology solutions and revenue cycle services for ASCs and specialty hospitals and clinics, Command Health provides narrative documentation solutions to the ambulatory market.
2. The relationship will utilize SourceMed's billing software and Command Health's mobile clinical documentation solution. The companies' products will be fully integrated, which will reduce reimbursement delays and problems involving inefficient documentation.
3. Through the integration, surgeons and physicians will be "able to complete clinical notes without disrupting their preferred workflow," according to Jonathan Isaacs, SourceMed's general manager of surgery group. In addition, surgeons will have real-time access to patient information and scheduling. The solution also includes benefits for ASCs, which will be able to accelerate cash collections and avoid missing clinical notes delays.
4. SourceMed and Command Health will premier the new solution soon. At the ASCA Conference in Dallas on May 19-22, the companies will demonstrate how their solution works.
