Press Ganey has announced a new seal that will validate and confirm that physician data and rankings are objectively presented.
The Seal of Integrity will recognize data published by organizations that meet "scientifically rigorous standards" that ensure objectivity, according to a statement.
"As more and more patients turn to online physician ratings when selecting a provider, we are seeing healthcare organizations implementing strategies to ensure that the ratings available are objective, standardized evaluations of the patient experience," said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. "When healthcare consumers see the Seal of Integrity, they will know they are looking at a reliable view of that provider — empowering them to make informed decisions about where to seek care."
