The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has selected two more organizations to become ONC-authorized testing and certification bodies for electronic health records, according to the organization's website.
ICSA Labs in Mechanisburg, Pa., and SLI Global Solutions in Denver have been chosen to join three other ONC-ATCBs. As an ONC-ATCB, these groups are authorized to test and certify electronic health record systems for compliance with standards and certification criteria set by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services earlier this year. Certification by ONC-ATCBs ensures EHR products will support healthcare providers' goal of achieving meaningful use.
