The ONC announced the winners of the third and final phase of the Move Health Data Forward Challenge — Foxhall Wythe and Live and Leave Well.
Each winner received a $50,000 prize, in addition to prizes they won for successfully moving through the first two phases of the challenge. The ONC initiated the challenge one year ago.
Foxhall Wythe's Docket is a secure system allowing users to store and share health data with their healthcare providers. The system uses industry-standard Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources messages and is HIPAA-compliant.
Live and Leave Well's product allows users to create a transportable package of data regarding a person's end-of-life plans. It also lets users mediate exchange of end of life plans. The product moves data securely among different users.
The challenge required participants to create application programming interface solutions allowing users to manage and share their health data in a secure manner.
