Going into 2017, security experts are increasing their cybersecurity spending, according to a Nuix report.
For the report, the cybersecurity information company interviewed 29 corporate security officials, including directors, vice presidents and chief information security officers. The majority of respondents, 97 percent, said that human behavior is their greatest security vulnerability. To address this concern, 52 percent said their focus was preventing data breaches, while 42 percent said their focus was detecting data breaches.
The majority of respondents, 79 percent, reported increasing spending on data breach detection in the past year, and 72 percent plan to do so in the following year. Other cybersecurity spending focuses include data breach identification (76 percent), protection (62 percent) and recovery (48 percent).
