HIMSS has recognized Munson Healthcare Charlevoix (Mich.) Hospital for achieving Stage 6 on the EMR Adoption Model, according to a Charlevoix Courier report.
The hospital joins 27 percent of U.S. hospitals (1,476 hospitals) that have reached this level of EHR adoption.
"Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Area Hospital remains committed to ensuring that patients receive the right treatment, at the right time and in the right setting," said Lyn Jenks, president of the hospital. "Electronic medical records provide a distinct advantage by allowing staff to effectively utilize information technology to improve patient safety."
