CMS released the latest meaningful use data, with information collected through July 2015.
To date, the EHR incentive program, including Medicare eligible professionals, Medicaid eligible professionals and hospitals, has 543,524 active registrations, up 2.7 percent from the 528,829 registrations from February 2015.
Since 2011, the government has paid $31.34 billion in incentive payments to eligible professionals and hospitals participating in meaningful use. Since February 2015, the government has paid slightly more than $1 billion, as the amount paid program-to-date as of February was $29.58 billion.
