Miami Children's Hospital has completed its 18-month Cerner EHR implementation.
The hospital is calling the system PEDS, for Pediatric Electronic Data System. The EHR will connect and share data across parent company Miami Children's Health System's facilities.
"The transition to PEDS supports MCH's operating statement adopted in 2007 dictating that we provide world-class care in a highly automated environment," said Ed Martinez, CIO of Miami Children's Hospital. "The PEDS system is the embodiment of that statement, offering the most current technology consistent with the MCH standard of care."
