MedStar Health, shut down its computer system last week in response to a virus. On April 1, the Columbia, Md.-based health system reported it had nearly 90 percent of its IT functionality back.
On Friday, the health system had its inpatient and outpatient EHR, as well as its registration and scheduling system, back online.
"In support of our mission, we focused our IT energies on systems related to direct patient care. Forensic work of MedStar IT systems have shown no evidence that patient or associate information or data have been compromised," the health system's statement read.
On April 3, MedStar released a statement saying SERA, its virtual private network, was also back online.
Though there was much discussion over whether the data security incident was another ransomware attack, MedStar never confirmed the speculation.
