Healthfinch raises $7.5M in Series A funding

Evolution and Charles Darwin-themed company Healthfinch has closed a Series A funding round, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Healthfinch, based in Madison, Wis., develops automated applications for healthcare. Products currently offered by the company include Swoop and Chirp. Swoop allows prescription refill requests to be delegated to lower-level healthcare workers, and Chirp automates patient communication, according to the report.

The product names are pulled from Charles Darwin's study of finches and evolution. The $7.5 million Series A funding just acquired by the company will be used to develop Charlie, an EMR-integrated software platform.
