Founded in New York in 2011, openDr is a cloud-based enterprise platform designed to connect patients, physicians and staff with online appointments, registration and payments in real-time.
William Greenblatt and Josefina Jervis co-founded the company, initially focusing on creating an online appointment booking solution. Today, the company has grown to become a comprehensive patient engagement software-as-a-service solution.
The company's platform is EMR/RIS system agnostic and is powered by a proprietary interface engine, openSync. openDr is partnering with different provider groups with the goal of improved online patient engagement. Most recently, the company signed an agreement with the New York-based group purchasing organization GNYHA Services. Through the agreement, GNYHA Services members will be able to offer physicians and patients digital self-scheduling tools.
The startup partners with health systems, radiology practices, medical practices and payers. openDr is a venture-backed startup. The company has 30 employees.
