Google has rebranded is business app suite as G Suite to make it easier for enterprise teams to collaborate.
Previously called Google Apps for Work, the newly named G Suite brings together Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts and more to offer real-time collaboration.
"When organizations break down silos, connect people and empower them to work together, we get the speed, agility and impact needed to compete in today's market," wrote Kelly Campbell, senior director of G Suite Marketing, in a news release announcing the rebranding.
Google is also expanding features and capabilities within G Suite to enhance collaboration, including machine intelligence to make the most relevant files easily accessible in Drive and to find meeting times that work for all invitees, among others.
