Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare expands telemedicine services with craniofacial, plastics

St. Paul, Minn.-based Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare will bring its telemedicine services to a medical clinic in central Minnesota, according to Twin Cities Business.

With this partnership, patients at Essentia Health St. Joseph's-Baxter Clinic in Minnesota will be able to schedule virtual physician visits for craniofacial, orthopedic, plastic surgery and sleep medicine services; however, patients will need to travel to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare for surgical procedures.

Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare has been offering telemedicine services for the past 10 years, according to Twin Cities Business, beginning in Sioux Falls, S.D., and expanding to Duluth, Minn., and Mankato, Minn., in recent years. Today, the hospital's telemedicine services in Sioux Falls focus on orthopedics and the telemedicine services in the Ohio outposts focus on sleep medicine.
