EchoPixel, a Mountain View, Calif.-based medical software company, has rolled out its 3-D imaging tools for pediatric surgery.
True 3D Viewer Software, an interactive digital tool, enables clinicians to translate patient image data into virtual reality objects on a desktop. A surgeon can then use these renditions to develop surgical plans and examine patient-specific anatomy prior to the operation.
Early adopters of the True 3D Viewer Software have included Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif.; Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas; and Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami.
