Karen DeSalvo, MD, has a string of job titles behind her name, including national coordinator of health IT and HHS' acting assistant secretary of health. But as of Tuesday, she no longer is a co-chair of the ONC Health IT Policy Committee.
Dr. DeSalvo will continue to participate as an ex-officio member of the committee.
Kathleen Blake, MD, vice president for performance improvement at the American Medical Association, will assume co-chair duties. She joins co-chair Paul Tang, MD, who is vice president and chief innovation and technology officer of Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
