A cross between an HIE, predictive analytics and an EHR, CloudMedx is providing physicians with a way to predict their patients' conditions no matter where patients go.
CloudMedx, a software development company with offices in Sunnyvale and Chatsworth, Calif., allows physicians and patients to track conditions through predictive analytics and determine preventative treatments. When a patient comes in for an appointment, the physician uploads the information from the visit into the EHR, and the patient's data is then passed along to CloudMedx.
Then, that information is available to the patient through a smartphone app, and he or she can take it with them wherever they go, allowing them to have easy access to their medical records in case of a move or a vacation medical emergency. At the top of the chart, CloudMedx runs analytics for conditions such as congestive heart failure, stroke, hypertension, COPD, pneumonia and diabetes, among others.
The software launched in July 2014 and has brought on 16 physician organizations, including approximately 150 physicians, according to TechCrunch.
