Cerner maintains its rank as the No. 1 vendor used by hospitals participating in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program as of June 2016, according to the latest data from the ONC. MEDITECH and Epic Systems come in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively, remaining unchanged from ONC data released in March 2015.
There are 4,474 non-federal acute care hospitals, including critical access hospitals, participating in the meaningful use program and using 175 certified health IT vendors as of June 2016. There are 1,029 hospitals using Cerner's EHR to attest, 953 are using MEDITECH's EHR and 869 are using Epic's EHR.
Cerner, MEDITECH, Epic, Evident, McKesson and MEDHOST supply 92 percent of attesting hospitals with 2014 edition EHR technology.
