Athenahealth and cloud-based analytics and data-driven intervention platform Inovalon are working together to interoperate. Under the partnership, structured and unstructured data from athenaClinicals will be automatically transferred to Inovalon's platform to support clients.
Inovalon's clients will have access to the data from athenahealth's network of more than 80,000 healthcare providers, which the companies hope will improve care outcomes and provide significant amounts of data to generate insight and reduce inefficiencies.
"By joining forces with Inovalon and enabling our clients to share necessary patient data, we believe we can deepen both organizations' access to information, transparency and insight in order to drive deeper collaboration between payers and providers, close gaps and drive better outcomes," said Jonathan Bush, co-founder, president and CEO of athenahealth.
