For the fiscal year 2015, ended Dec. 31, 2015, cloud-based EHR vendor athenahealth reported a 23 percent increase in revenue from the previous year. Additionally, the vendor reported a net income of $14 million, a turnaround from the previous year's net loss of $3.1 million.
athenahealth's reported revenue for the year total $924.7 million, up from $752.6 million in fiscal year 2015.
Additionally, for the fourth quarter of 2015, revenue was $257.5 million, up 20.7 percent from the fourth quarter of 2014's $213.2 million.
"In 2015, we grew athenahealth-branded bookings by over 30 percent, onboarded a record 13,067 providers onto our network and improved the efficiency and effectiveness of our service offerings," said Kristi Matus, chief financial and administrative officer of athenahealth.
The company projects fiscal year 2016 revenue to fall between $1.085 billion and $1.115 billion.
