Through a new partnership with AssistRx, providers using Allscripts' EHR can speed up the process of enrolling patients in specialty drug therapy programs.
Allscripts is integrating the iAssist app into its EHR, which providers can use to connect patients to appropriate drug programs.
Previously, the iAssist app was offered as a standalone e-prescribing platform that functioned parallel to an EHR.
"We expect this first-in-class integration will completely transform the efforts of tens of thousands of physicians to enroll their patients in much needed specialty therapy programs designed to support patient access and therapy adherence, which are essential objectives of today's value-based care models," said Edward Hensley, chief commercial officer of AssistRx.
