Forty-three percent of healthcare security professionals and other executives said their ability to counter information security threats is poor, failing or in need of improvement, according to an Information Security Media Group news release.
ISMG conducted a report, "Healthcare Information Security Today," that also revealed 26 percent of organizations have not conducted a risk assessment and less than 50 percent have a defined information security budget.
Respondents reported that their top information security priority for the next year is improving regulatory compliance efforts.
